The Ciprofloxcin 500 mg is an antibiotic. You will be given ten (12) tablets, enough for 5 days. You may take two (2) tablets the night before surgery, one tablet the morning of then one tablet every 12 hours after surgery until finished.
If you were given pain medications, take them as directed. For minor pain, take extra strength Tylenol.
Apply cold compresses to the area that was suspended for two days (on 20 minutes and off one hour). Packs of frozen peas seems to work best. Refrain from any strenuous movement and exercise for 3 to 6 weeks.
The skin bunching at the surgery site will dissipate noticeably after 7 days, the remainder will gradually smooth out over the next 3 to 6 weeks.
Utilize a neck pillow for sleeping and comfort when lying down.
If you had a buttock lift, expect to be sore for 10-14 days. Try to lay on your abdomen or side when sleeping for three weeks.
